Our Story

Hello, I’m Jen Gonzalez, Founder of Holy Cakes! Inc. In January 2023, I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease after years of deficiency related symptoms. I was told that I had to adhere to a Gluten Free lifestyle for my body to heal and function properly. I started changing what I ate and the way I prepared it, and I started a social media blog to document my journey on IG and FB called My So-Called Celiac Life. 

I began baking loaf cakes and banana breads in an effort to find gluten free dessert options for me and my family. As my passion for gluten free baking grew, I considered doing Farmers Markets with my loaf cakes. A good friend in the cake industry encouraged me to do more than just loaf cakes as there was a genuine need for gluten free cake bakers in the event space. I prayed about this, and God began to open doors and create a path for me. Holy Cakes! Inc. came to fruition in May 2023. 

Subsequently, some food allergies were discovered in my children. This gave me the added challenge of making cakes that were dairy free, soy free, and nut free. Soon after, I received requests for egg free too, and the next thing I knew, I was creating allergen safe cakes that were also suitable for a Vegan lifestyle. 

I believe that God has led me to my passion and purpose, and I am delighted to bring families and friends together to enjoy the same delicious cake without fear. Now you can truly have your cake and eat it too.
